Adjunct Culinary Instructors
The Art Institute of Michigan, located in Novi, fills a unique niche. We provide post-secondary education to students seeking Associates and Bachelors degrees leading to careers in graphic design, animation, fashion, interior design, web design, digital photography, and culinary arts. We are among a cadre of 45 proprietary Art Institutes within the US - one of Forbes' 200 Best Small Companies in America (www.edumgt.com) and our growth provides enormous opportunities for advancement.
Offering Associate and Bachelor Degrees in programs such as Culinary Management, our mission is to prepare students for entry-level employment in the culinary field. Our Culinary kitchens are state of the art and provide students with the latest in cooking techniques.
Due to growth in our student population, we are currently seeking Adjunct Instructors to teach in our Culinary Arts program.
To be considered for an instructor position, the following qualifications are required:
• Masters degree preferred
• Teaching experience preferred
• A minimum of 4 or more years industry experience
• CEC, CCE, CEPC candidates strongly advised to apply
• The desire to coach and mentor aspiring professionals
• Strong interpersonal skills
• The ability to act effectively as a team member
• Bachelors or Associates degree and significant industry experience may be considered
We are also looking for experience in baking and pastry, artisan breads, advanced cake decoration, and candy making. Experience in competitive sugar, chocolate or showpieces is a plus.
