In need of a good yellow cake recipe?

Okay thank you. Is the 4 egg yolks, 1/4 cup of oil and 4 whipped egg whites, your suggestion on using instead of what is written on the box. because i have used box before and never used egg whites?

is thisamount for a supermarket size box or a lg.(5 or 6 lb.) box and if its the larger size boxes do i need adjust the amount ( 20 yolks to 5lb box and so on ) ???????

Adapted this cake to be made in the Thermomix - it is truly a winning yellow cake - and really quick and simple to make.

I would add it to what the box says. It adds a bit more moisture to the mix. If you made a meringue with the whites and folded it in it would be a little more flexable. Hope this helps.

Any cake mix should work. Just add to what the recipe calls for.

Ill do a 123 using regular yellow cake mix. add 4 egg yolks,1/4 cup of oil and 4 whipped egg whites(per box). These cake come out really nice and moist. I know its not from scratch but it works in a pinch.
