Ginger Ice Cream

 Spicy and sweet ginger ice cream by The Ginger People.

28 oz sweetened condensed milk

32 oz half and half

32 oz heavy cream

3 tbs pure vanilla extract

4 oz gin or vodka

30 oz candied ginger, minced

Mix all ingredients together except ginger. Place in a commercial ice cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturer’s directions. When freezer stops, fold in reserved ginger. Place in a storage container and put in your regular freezer to cure for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. (Makes one gallon.)
