The "Women"-themed 24th Annual U.S. Pastry Competition concluded with impressive and inspiring works.
Ben Shelton of PreGel America won the title of 2013 U.S. Pastry Chef of the Year at the 24th annual U.S. Pastry Competition presented by Paris Gourmet. Sandro Micheli (Restauant Daniel) placed second, Maura Methany (Norman Love Confections) came in third, and Salvatore Settepani (Pasticceria Bruno) won an honorable mention. Congratulations to all the winners. The theme of this year’s competition was “Women”. The U.S. Pastry Competition is the marquee event at the International Restaurant & Foodservice Show of New York, which was held March 3rd-5th, 2013. The 25th Annual U.S. Pastry Competition will be held on March 2, 2014. The theme will be “Film Animation”. See the works of the winners below.
