In the category of strange-but-true, hundreds of pastry recipes in binders were recently stolen from Mr. Holmes Bakeshop, a San Francisco bakery that is only a few months old. Nothing else was taken from the premises. Mr. Holmes Bakeshop is known for their Cruffins, a croissant and muffin hybrid that generates long lines outside the bakery each morning. Luckily, the recipes had been backed up on a computer, so the Cruffin supply is not in jeopardy. Co-owner Ry Stephen does not believe the theft was an inside job. If anyone attempts to sell you a suspicious Cruffin recipe please contact the San Francisco police department. For more info, visit www.mrholmesbakehouse.com.
