Chocolate Chip Sweets

Chocolate Chip Sweets

In her latest book, Chocolate Chip Sweets: Favorite Recipes from Celebrated Chefs (Rizzoli, 2015), baker Tracey Zabar has compiled 85 recipes from chefs such as Daniel Boulud, Dominique Ansel and Sherry Yard along with secret Zabar family recipes to create a wonderful collection of chocolate chip treats. Some interpret the cookie (as in Florian Bellinger’s Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookies), while others present cakes (such as the Chocolate Chip Zucchini Cake from Jessamyn Rodriquez of Hot Bread Kitchen) or pastries (as in Jennifer Yee’s Butterscotch Chocolate Chip Eclairs). All recipes are adapted for home bakers, and a portion of the proceeds from Chocolate Chip Sweets will benefit Hot Bread Kitchen, a business that employs immigrant women working in East Harlem. Available from www.amazon.com or www.bn.com.
